Fix That Hiccup
If you haven't figured it out yet about my blog... I keep it simple... I keep it light. I try to bring a smile to the world, or inform the ignorant... I am a giver. So in the spirit of informing, I thought it would be a good time to pass on some cures for the common hiccup.
Share your remedies, here are some that I have used or that I have heard of. My girlfriend Faye swears by this one and says it works 100% of the time so it goes at number one:
1. Plug both of your ears, hold your breath and slowly sip water.
2. Eat a spoonful of peanut butter (my favorite)
3. Get upsidedown and hold your breath
4. Get someone to really, really scare you. (hard to do, cause you're expecting it)
5. Eat something really hot
6. Drink lots and lots of water
Your turn to add more (we're brainstorming here, there are no bad suggestions. if it is a lame suggestion, I'll let you know) ...........

Those might work for children and adults, but what about fetus hiccups? Those are the MOST annoying things ever and seem to be inclined to start at about 2:36 in the morning...daily.
NOT that I'm having any more kids...
Hmmm. . I've always heard the sugar thing, I'll have to try it.
When I had problems with fetus hiccups I used to take a long bath. This normally helped and it also helped the swelling in my feet to go away.
I like the girlfriends suggestion... After all, I've heard that "behind every man is a great woman with a terrific hiccup remedy". Well, something like that... :)
Hi bart, like your site..
I have this suggestion for hiccups (i'v been plagued with'em too many times) - Pinch your nose real tight and gulp down a large glass of water really slowly - take your time, even if you feel little breathless. Has worked for me!
